Nastaran is a PhD student jointly supervised by Dr. Alan Freeman and Samuel Solomon.

Nastaran has a background of Electrical, Electronic and Biomedical Engineering. Her PhD project involves modeling the visual system such as direction selectivity and orientation selectivity.
Her research project for master study was parametric modeling and classification of the Photoplethysmographic signal, which resulted in some journal and conference papers.
