Dr Pourghasem is an Assistant Professor in the Babol University of Medical Sciences and has completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Manchester University. He works as an Honorary Research Associate in the Discipline of Biomedical Science and participates in teaching anatomy to undergraduate students. His research focuses on the field of teratology and neurosciences.

The effect of prenatal exposure to high doses of toluene on the development of the hearing apparatus of rats.
