The Discipline of Biomedical Science (formerly The School of Biomedical Sciences) provides the basic sciences, including anatomy and physiology, for the many clinical programs based at the Lidcombe campus of the University. These units are taught in an applied fashion to suit the needs of the clinical professional schools based at the campus. Postgraduate research training is also available through the Faculty of Medicine. Our postgraduate research program supports the postgraduate research degrees Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Specialist supervision is available in a number of fields of study which include musculoskeletal anatomy, neuroscience, body systems physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, and teaching and learning.
