Continuing Professional Education in Stuttering
A program has now been determined for 2007. Events
include clinic visits, teleconferences, workshops and forums. All events
include a registration fee. For further information please contact
the CPES Coordinator.
Clinic Visits to Bankstown Community Health Centre
Speech Pathologists are invited to visit the Stuttering Unit at Bankstown Community Health Centre for a full day
(commencing at 8:45am and concluding at 4pm) to observe specialist clinicians assessing and treating
clients of all ages. Time is also made available for visitors to discuss their own clients and other clinicial
issues. Your hosts will be Margaret Webber and Stacey Sheedy. Visits on the dates listed below can be arranged through the CPES Coordinator.
Places are limited and fill quickly so early bookings are essential. There is a $25 charge levied for this service.
Visits are scheduled for the following dates in 2007:
- Wednesday 7th March
- Wednesday 4th April
- Wednesday 2nd May
- Wednesday 1st August
- Wednesday 3rd October
- Wednesday 7th November
Teleconferences
Interested researchers and clinicians from Australia and New Zealand are invited to phone into the ASRC to listen to presentations,
questions and answers. To assist with the economics of such an undertaking, we require that at least two people are at each telephone
number patched into the conference. There is an AUD66.00 per person charge for joining the teleconference.

Workshops
In 2007 all planned workshops will be held in Sydney.
Group size for workshops is 10 - 40 delegates. The cost per person for each workshop is AUD320.00 which includes handbooks,
morning and afternoon tea and lunch.

Forums
Due to demand, the ASRC will be holding two forums on the Lidcombe Program. Each forum will be a question and answer session. There will
be a panel of researchers, academics and clinicians available to answer your questions. You are also invited to email your questions in
beforehand to the ASRC.
