Lidcombe Program Trainers Consortium

The LPTC is an international, non-profit group dedicated to providing professional continuing education in the Lidcombe Program. The Consortium strives to provide a high standard of instruction, with internationally standardised methods and materials. Consortium members are in frequent contact whilst striving for excellence.

The focus of Consortium training is on the development of skills in the treatment method, ranging from introductory to advanced. Drawing on the scientific evidence base for the Lidcombe Program, Consortium training also is designed to provide an understanding of the link between clinical practice, clinical trials and clinical process research dealing with the treatment method. The Consortium currently consists of trainers in seven countries: the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, New Zealand and Australia.

Consortium members will provide training for speech pathologists who are licensed to practice speech pathology in the country of their usual residence. Consortium members will use common core training media which includes training videos assembled in Australia. At every Consortium event delegates should be able to obtain an order form for a discounted copy of the text "The Lidcombe Program of Early Intervention: A Clinician's Guide."

The logo for the Lidcombe Program Trainers' Consortium Membership of the Lidcombe Program Trainers Consortium may change from time to time. However, consumers can identify Consortium training events by the presence of the Consortium logo on all materials.

Since the formation of the LPTC it has become clear that there is a growing demand for training in the Lidcombe Program. Consortium events are available throughout 2007. Should you wish to undertake LPTC training individually, or arrange it for your specific group, the email contacts in various countries are detailed below.
